Henry VI was crowned King of England before he had turned one. His accession to the throne followed the untimely death of his father, Henry V in 1422.
By the end of 1453 the English had lost all their French possessions, except for the area around Calais.
In 1455 the Wars of the Roses began.
In 1460, Henry was deposed, and Edward IV was crowned king. Henry was again recognised as king for a brief period in 1470 and 1471, before he was again deposed, and eventually died while in Edward IV's custody.
