This was Fremantle's first game at the MCG for the season, which, given that Freo have never won there, is probably a good thing. They are gonna have to learn how to win there sooner or later, though, if they are ever to win a premiership.
The day was fine, with even a few patches of sunshine coming through the cloud cover. It was bitterly cold, however, and there was a reasonable breeze blowing across the ground. The fine conditions brought out a reasonable number of Dockers fans - I counted at least 20 in the rows around where we were seated, including a bloke who I am pretty sure was The Voice of Reason in the row directly behind. Walking around the ground beforehand, we exchanged the ritual Freo fan in Melbourne greeting with a few other Dockers fans: A quick nod, followed by excited gesturing to the people you are with and "Thats 4! I've seen 4 others now!"
Final Score : Richmond 23.7-145 thrashed Fremantle 8.7-55
