THE 1997 ST. JOSEPH HIGH SCHOOL JETS TEAM IS SIXTH IN THE NATION!

On 4/16/97, St.Joseph High School received notification that our 1997 JETS TEAM won sixth in the nation in their national division. This was sixth out of the thirty-one schools that made it to that national division. Because St.Joseph High school was among the top ten in the nation in their division, our JETS TEAM will receive a special award from the Junior Enginering Technical Society. They were also first in their division in the U.S. Virgin Islands for the second year in a row. Congratulations to our 1997 JETS TEAM for a fantastic showing! NEWS FLASH: Visitor #1016 logs into our website and send us email!

Congratulations to Jane Crumlish and her students at Neshaminy High School of Langhorne, PA for being the first visitor to this site to send us email after reaching a visitor count of #1000. The historic event took place on March 15, 1997. It is especially meaningful because it was the first time that this participant in the BIOME EXCHANGE PROJECT logged on to our site. During the past several months, St.Joseph High School and Neshaminy High School have exchanged packages of videos and other materials related to our environments. Previously, this was also done with Roosevelt High School of Sioux Falls, SD.

St. Joseph High School started the last school year of classes on Monday, August 19, 1996. During the previous week both teachers and students took care of all of the preliminaries. This was the start of our homepage and with the help of the Science and Internet Club of St.Joseph High School the 1996-97 school year turned out to be a good one as was the 1995-96 school year. One example of that year was our winning of the First Place award for the territories for the JETS TEAMS competition which was sponsored by the Junior Engineering Technical Society.
