When the magician opened the door, he saw the young man, Mark, dressed shabbily and hungry. The magician felt sorry for Mark and let him inside. He fed Mark and let him sleep on his bed. (He hid Christine and the cage in a cupboard.) The next morning the magician woke up and saw Mark wasn't there. He was very angry at the young man until he went outside. Mark had woke up early and was chopping wood for the magician who had fed him. For many days, Mark helped the magician and proved himself trustworthy, kind, and good person. One day when the magician had left the cottage, Mark took a break from work and went inside to get a drink. Looking for a cup, he found the cage with Christine. He thought she was a fairy because she was so tiny. (She had been shrunk.) She tried to explain to him that she was the princess he'd been searching for, but he didn't quite believe her. He asked her several questions only the princess would know the answer to, and she got them all right. He believed her and opened the cage door. She didn't change to her regular size like she thought she would. Christine began to cry. She said, "You must not be the kind, true, and good prince that is supposed to set me free." Mark said, "But I am kind and honest and good. However, I am not a prince. Your father sent many men out in search for you and I'm just one of them. He said whoever found you! would become your husband and heir to the throne." Christine brightened up and even smiled! "Don't you see? You are my prince! As soon as we get married, you will be a prince and then I'll be back to my normal size! Take me away from the magician, you have done many good things for him. Let's go get married!

They left the little cottage and returned to the castle. The magician returned to find the princess and Mark gone. He was furious! Mark wasn't a prince! The magician went to the castle, too. He arrived just in time to see the priest say "I now pronounce you man and wife," and Christine returned to her self. At the very moment, the magician vanished and was never seen in that kingdom again. Christine had proved to smart for him.

The nanny knew this foresure because her kid brother had gone into the forest ten years ago and he has never been seen again. She head the only way to be safe in the forest is to make up a potion of lemon juice, flour, grape jelly, maple syrup, and one pinch of peper. You have to pour this on the troll because it's the only way to get rid of him. So the princess got busy making her potion, hoping nobody would come in the kitchen and find out what she is doing. If her father found out she might have to battle a troll he would forbid her going into the forest alone. After she made her seceret potion she headed to the forest. It was quite a walk, but she was enjoyed herself very much. Finally she got to the berry batch which was in the middle of the forest. It was hard for Victoria to see because of all the trees. While picking the berries Victoria was thinking about the troll and if he was going to come and eat her up. She decided to rest form picking the berries and have her lunch. Just as she was about to eat the first bit of her sandwitch she heard a noise behind a berry bush. This frightened Victoria very much and the first thing she thought of was the troll. She pretended she didn't hear the noise and kept eating her sandwitch. As soon as she bit into that ham sandwitch a small odd looking thing jumped out and started to make ugly faced at it. Victoria was sure that it was a troll and she went into her bag and grabbed the majic potion that would destroy the troll. As e was digging around in her bag the troll was comming closer and then he stopped and started to sniff around. Victoria was looking at him in the corner of her eye. She could not think why this troll hasn't eaten her yet. Then she touhgt of it he was smelling her ham sandwitch. So she asked the troll if he wanted to try her ham sandwitch and threw it to him. He picked it up, smelled it and decided to eat it. He obvisouly liked it because of eating her up he at the sandwich. She told the troll her name and asked if please not eat her up after he was done with her food. Much to her surprise he said ok only if he can have more of her food. She thought this was a much better idea than being eating so she gave him her apple, juice, and chocolate cake. While eating the troll had told her that he was a friendly troll and all he wanted to do was eat some food. For as long as he was a baby all he had eating was those berries and he was just plain sick of them. Victoria agreeded with him and told him that if he would be friends with her, she would come and bring him food every day. The troll liked that idea, for he gets very lonley all by himself in the forest. He told the princess that he could show her were he lived and all the neat places that are in the forest. She decided she better be off now because they might start worring about her. They decided they would meet there every day and have wonderful times together.

YEARS LATER: Victoria is now a young women and her father has found a man for her to merry, but Victoria does not like Prince Jon from the land next to her. As she was telling the troll this she looked into his eyes and found out who she was in love with. The troll, for years she had been telling him her secrets and her dreams. And now she has finally realized that she has feelings for him. Secretly the troll has had feelings for her all along, but he thougt it would be silly to say anything. At the end of her visit, she decided to give him a kiss. The troll had decided to do the same, their lips locked and the forest turned and black as the night. Thunder and lightnig came about and when she opened her eyes she was kissing a handsome man. The man had told her that a witch was in the forest when he was little and transformed him into a troll. She said the only way he would be freeded is to be kissed by a princess. She took him home and her loving father agreed that she could marry and they lived happly ever after.
