Caesar the Dobe in India

Does everybody remember Caesar? Well, we finally figured out a way how to put Caesar's and his owners Anil's pictures on Doberworld. Since I don't have A scanner, DobeDave went through the trouble to use his digital camera. It still amazes me how we all pulled this off. Caesar was diagnosed with babesiosis and needed Imidocarb dipropionate, (a medication not available in India) to save his life. Anil put a plea for help on this list and set the wheels in motion. Many, many phone calls later...domestic as well as international...after Schering-Plough Animal Health donated the vials of Imidocarb, after Ann Nelson was finally able to cut through all the red tape that presented themselves and after Ann had somehow cut through the diplomatic channels (with very little sleep on her part!!!) WE GOT THE MEDICATION TO CAESAR...just in time. Anil devoted practically his life to his much loved Doberboy ! Unfortunately the babesiosis has taken it's toll on this poor dog and the latest I heard about him about a week ago, is that he still requires a Vet's care......but he is alive! So, here is a picture of this brave boy and his owner that was taken around Christmas, after he had the injections of Imidocarb. Thanks to everybody again who helped and may Caesar give his owner many years of joy ! Brigitte Hall
