I would like, ah, if I may, ...to take you on a strange journey

Congratulations, you are visitor to enter the timewarp.

It seemed a fairly ordinary night when Brad Majors and his fiancee Janet Weiss two young, normal, healthy kids, left Denton that late November evening, to visit a Dr. Everett Scott , ex-tutor, now friend to both of them.

Sue comes from an innovative family of engineers and her paternal ancestors invented the single lens reflex camera and designed Leeds City Station. Peter Mayor Campbell gives some information about her great-great-grandfather. Her mother's side were farmers, and her cousin now runs a brewery. Sue runs a doll's hospital, repairing and restoring old-fashioned and antique dolls and teddy bears.

Jon's into alternative lifestyles and therapies - he has an ITEC in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage, and is trained in Aromatherapy, Hypnosis and Touch for Health. Jon earns his living designing Local Area Networks for the Post Office and is based in Chesterfield, the link takes you to the web pages he created for the area.

It's true there were dark storm clouds. Heavy, black, and pendulous, toward which they were driving.

Three years ago we bought a house off an elderly couple who made economising the truth into an art form. The house has an acre of land and major structural faults, and we have yet to unpack all our books and stuff as we're too busy doing building work and gardening. The house was built by George Stephenson for William Howe in Clay Cross in North East Derbyshire, and we live here with our son Tim.

It's true, also, that the spare tire they were carrying was badly in need of some air, but, uh, they being normal kids, on a night out... well, they weren't going to let a storm spoil the rest of their evening, were they?

Our timewarp contains an academic synopsis, some information about the area we live in, and especially about George Stephenson, and William Howe, and now includes the new improved North East Derbyshire A to Z. There's some information about Hebden Bridge where we used to live and a detailed biography.

It was a night out they were going to remember... for a very long time.

This is where we used to live, and we think its a beautiful area. Here is some touristy stuff, for a more realistic picture take a look here. A good place to live if you want a Northern Centre with easy access to Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, Liverpool or Preston. Jon knows, he used to drive to all those places!

You can reach us by e-mail at timewarp.demon.co.uk, but because of the large amount of unsolicited e-mail about I am not printing the user names here, though John and Sue wouldn't be too far out. There's a mail box for each of us!
