This document will attempt to answer all questions that people may have about Undernet's #friendly. 1) What the heck is this place all about? #friendly is a channel where people can come and hang out and have a good time. It is not meant to be a sex channel or a ops on power trip channel. It is meant for fun, just like IRC. 2) How can I get ops on #Friendly Well this is a popular question. To get ops, you will need to be recommended for ops by 3 different present ops then write the friendly quiz. You will then be evaluated by the op-evaluation committee. For more specific infomation about this process, refer to separate document see the friendly.ops document on Buddybot 3) What are the rules for #Friendly The rules are simple - Don't be a dink - Don't mess with the bots 4) What are the ops supposed to do on the channel? The ops are there to kick and ban abusive users from the channel. Ensure that #friendly remains a fun place for all. They are also there to help users if they have the time. 5) Who gives out ops on the channel? Superbot and Buddybot are the only people that should be op'ing others. Others can op others that are not on the op list, but if they do they should be careful as to who they op and not leave that person op'd when they leave the channel. Any op giving ops to someone not on the list is responsible for them. 6) What about opwars? #Friendly should be free of opwars at all times even if it is for fun with your friends. Not everyone knows that you are kicking and banning your friends and will think that #Friendly is a power trip for its ops which it is NOT! 7) What if someone is causing problems? If it is an op or just a user, mail super - super@alias.undernet.org and he will get back to you asap.
