Beef Stroganoff
Very tasty. It freezes very well and is useful to have stored as an emergency high quality meal.
4 | lb | Beef | Fillet, cut in thin strips |
8 | oz | Mushrooms | A can of small mushrooms. |
2 | ea | Onions | Chopped fine |
2 | cups | Milk | |
2 | cups | Cream | |
2 | Tbsp | Butter | |
4 | Tbsp | Cornstarch | |

Salt & Pepper |
Fry onions in butter until golden. Add meat slices and fry until done. Set aside.
Add cornstarch to milk, mixing well. Add cream (everything cold). Put mixture on stove and bring to boil stirring constantly. Add salt & pepper, tomato sauce (enough to give reddish colour) and mushrooms. Finally add fried meat slices, mix and remove from heat. Makes 10 servings. Serve with white rice.
