Some ideas on what information to put in a Teaching Portfolio

A. Courses (TA or lecture)

  • Course syllabus
  • Duties in course (led a discussion, lectured, graded exams, wrote exams, etc.)
  • Samples of activities you designed or exam questions you wrote, etc.
  • Evaluations
  • B. Supervised undergraduate projects

  • For each student list dates they worked with you
  • Provide a brief description of what they did
  • C. Outreach Activities (public education, teacher education, K-12 education)

  • Description of presentation, activity, etc.
  • Brochures, etc.
  • D. Intellectual development

  • Papers on educational techniques or analysis of education
  • Development of lab manuals, etc.
  • Design of new activities
  • Design of computer programs/activities
  • Return to T. Poole's home page.
