The Bible teaches that human kind has a mental bent towards sin. Sin is the violation of God’s laws. We, are because of the this bent are all sinners. We have all at one time or another violated God’s laws. It is in our genes and has been from the day that the first man sinned and became a sinner. From then on the bent towards sin has been passed on from father to son and from generation to generation. For this reason Jesus had to be born of a woman with out the help of a man!
The Bible also teaches that God has provided a way of escape from this dilemma. He helped to conceive Jesus in the womb of a Virgin girl, and grow up in our world without the bent toward sin. But being tempted in all points like as we are, in order that Jesus might be able to die as a sacrifice for our sin. Jesus died shedding his blood in order to pay the price the law demanded for our sins.
Now, today, the price is paid for your sins, but you have to accept the payment. This is like a man in jail who is granted a pardon. He must accept and sign the pardon before he is let out of the jail. You have to accept the idea that God has paid the price for your sins and your pardon is granted.
Now, the way in which you accept your pardon is by believing in Jesus Christ and what He has done for you and repenting or turning away from your sin. (In other words you will seek not to continue in those things that have been sin for you and seek to avoid future sins.)
This may seem simple but it is that way by design.
In this way the rich cannot buy their way into The Kingdom of God.
In this way those who have great brains cannot brag that they figured it all out and therefore are saved.
In this way the strong and mighty cannot say they gained The Kingdom of God by great physical deeds.
In this way the playing field in leveled and even leans a little toward the meek and lowly, and those not having allot of pride.
Anyone can believe!
I should add that you should be doing this accepting in prayer to God. You do not have to be fancey in your praying or make any great promises. But simply state to God that you do believe in Him and His Son Jesus and what has been done for you and ask Him to come into your life and help you change.
At the moment that you believe and pray the Holy Ghost will come into your heart to help you out. This is that which you may have heard of before called the new birth, or being born again. Your life is starting over again. You are now in the service of the King of kings and Lord of lords. Even if all you do is drive a truck.
Now below here I am going to take verses out of the Bible concerning salvation and so on and place them here for you to read.
Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
(John 3:3)...
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
(John 3:16)...
For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world;
but that the world
through him might be saved.
(John 3:17)...
As it is written,
There is none righteous,
no, not one:
(Romans 3:10)...
For all have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God;
(Romans 3:23)...
Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world, and
death by sin; and so death passed upon all men,
for that all have sinned:
(Romans 5:12)...
For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)...
For when we were yet without strength,
in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
(Romans 5:6)...
Therefore being justified by faith,
we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ:
(Romans 5:1)...
For as by one man's disobedience
many were made sinners,
so by the obedience of one
shall many be made righteous.
(Romans 5:19)...
That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(Romans 10:9)...
For with the heart
man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.
(Romans 10:10)...
For whosoever
shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved.
(Romans 10:13)...
As many as I love,
I rebuke and chasten:
be zealous
therefore, and repent.
(Revelation 3:19)...
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock:
if any man hear my voice,
and open the door,
I will come in to him,
and will sup with him,
and he with me.
(Revelation 3:20)...
