Crater Lake |
Crater Lake, Pumice Desert and Wizard Islands, Oregon
Date: Mon.July 20, 1998
I with P'Puh and P'Att, left Victoria, Canada in the early morning, took a Coho Ferry to Port Angeles, USA. We started driving partly pass Olympic National Park and headed south to Olympia and then Salem on highway I-5. Finally, we continued to go to Crater Lake. We reached there at about 4pm but it still had a bright sunlight. Crater Lake National Park is located in southern Oregon on the crest of the Cascade Range, 100 miles from the Pacific coast. On the way went to the mountain's top of Crater Lake, we passed the pumice desert and some remaining snow. Then, at the top we could see the very beautiful deep dark blue lake and Wizard Islands.
