Christian Spain

The Lay of El Cid

The tale of that evil Spanish man who captured Valencia (may Allah one day restore her!) and defeated the Almoravides (well, hard to pity them after what they did to al-Mu'tamid, may Allah shine down blessings a thousandfold upon him).

Amadis de Gaul

I couldn't find anything useful online about the but I'm placing it here so people looking for Christian Spanish sources will look at it. If you checked the Codex Fabiliauum , you already saw the bibliographic information but if you didn't: Amadis de Gaule and Its Influence on Elizabethan Literature by John J. O'Connor would be the book to look for or (for the Spanish speakers): Two Spanish Verse Chap-Books: romance de Amadis (c. 1515-19), Juyzio Hallado y Trobado (c. 1510) by F. J. Norton and Edward M. Wilson. I'm guessing public libraries will probably not have the O'Connor work, but university libraries may.
