A Typical Tunnel

This tunnel is one of dozens that lead to places which havenīt been explored since the mine closed in 1888. They were feeler tunnels used to located new gold-bearing veins and ore. The mine also bore many precious and semi-precious stones. Marcelo was very enthusiastic about this shaft. I was tiring of feeling smothered all the time.
