We thank you Lord, for the life, you gave our mother dear
And thank you for the cherished time that we all had her here
Here with us, to be our Mom, our Gram and Nanna too
Until the time finally came for her to be with you
The strength of this grand lady was obvious for all to see
And the thing of most importance to her, was us, her family
The sacrifices that she made, would cause a lesser person to fall
But with your help, day after day, she stood so very tall
Making every life she met feel special in every way
And with her quiet patience, she would answer us and say...
"Yes, my dear, what is it?", and sure enough we'd get
That treat at Richard's Diary Bar, she wouldn't drive by on a bet
And now, please God, we ask that you give her such comfort and peace
From this world of worry and stress, now give her the well earned release
We'll think of her, and cry for her, but smiles will also shine through
As we think and remember, our Mom, our Gram and Nanna too
The Forget-Me-Nots, the flowers that grow by her favorite creek
Will wave forever for her and place a kiss gently on her cheek..
A sixth greatgrand child was born this year, and so as with everything, where one door closes.. another opens. This grand lady was the very best of everything and we are truly blessed to be a part of her. Great grandchildren 7 and 8 are due this year.:) Bless her heart.
