     This video captures the highlights of Pope John Paul II’s five-day stay in the Philippines, his journey to Manila for World Youth Day 1995 as the Holy Father spoke of the “phenomenon called the Filipino people.” Millions of Filipinos and youths from every corner of the world gathered to welcome the Holy Father which surged to four million strong on the Pope’s last Mass during the said visit. Witness as church, government leaders and countless people gathered together to hear the Holy Father’s charter for the Philippines’ Church to bear witness to the Gospel in the heart of Asia.
 

     This documentary, written and narrated by veteran media practitioner Fr. James B. Reuter, SJ highlights the renewal of faith and the rejuvenation of hope by millions of people confronting a dictator government. This video goes back to the events that unfolded at EDSA in 1986, the historic and bloodless People Power Revolution. Key players of that event; such as former Presidents Corazon C. Aquino, Fidel Ramos, Manila’s Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin and many others face the cameras to give their testimonies and experiences of that fateful event.
 

     This video production captured the stage presentation on the life of Manila’s revered Archbishop, Jaime Cardinal Sin. The stage-play written and directed by Fr. James B. Reuter, SJ features the childhood years of the Cardinal up to his years in the seminary and into his assumption of the position as Archbishop of Manila. The stage-play was produced in-line with Cardinal Sin’s 70th birthday last August 31, 1998.

     This is the classic film produced by Fr. Patrick Peyton, CSC in 1957, seen in over 64 countries by almost 90 million people. This film shot entirely in Spain, highlights the events told in the Fifteen Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. This film was extensively used in Fr. Peyton’s Mission Popular and rosary rallies in the rural and urban centers across the Philippines’ countryside until 1985. This film is now being translated and dubbed into Filipino for a re-release by the year 1999, in preparation for the resumption of the Mission Popular.
