Welcome to Megan and Mike's travel page. This page will feature photos and text
about the places we've traveled to, and some of the places we've lived. We hope
that our experiences will also serve as inducement for you to travel to them also!

Please contact us if you have any questions or comments about the places we've been!

Vancouver, BC Our honeymoon trip. More coming.
Bangladesh In 1998, Mike traveled to Bangladesh to observe the workings of a non-governmental organization in the country's rural areas. Click at left for some photos and descriptive commentary on his trip.
India In 1999, Megan traveled to India as part of a Rotary International Group Study Exchange. Click at left for some pictures and brief descriptions.
Texas Our trip into West Texas, including Big Bend National Park.

Places we've lived:

Cedar Falls Megan was raised in this small town in Northern Iowa where her father was president of the University of Northern Iowa. More on the way.
Fort Bragg Mike was raised in this northern California town about 3½ hours drive north of San Francisco on the Pacific coast. Known for its redwoods, lumber industry, fishing industry and other natural and man-made features, it is a pretty blue collar town now becoming more geared toward tourism and art. More on the way.
Iowa City Megan attended the University of Iowa here. More on the way.
Santa Clara Mike attended Santa Clara University in this Bay Area city. More on the way.
Milwaukee Mike moved here from California in 1986. Megan moved here in 1988. We both lived here until late 1995. Milwaukee is known mostly for the beer industry, at one time boasting many of the country's major brewers such as Pabst, Schlitz and Miller. The city has recently redeveloped its downtown. More on the way.
San Antonio In November of 1995, we moved here after Megan accepted a job with the San Antonio Business Journal. San Antonio is an Hispanic city with lots of character. It is renowned for the Alamo, its Riverwalk, and very good Tex-Mex food. Because of its cultural character, it is unlike any other city in Texas. More on the way.
New Orleans We moved here in 2000 so Mike could start a Ph.d program. The New Orleans we knew has been recently hobbled by Hurricane Katrina and we're not sure that it will ever come back to what it once was. However, we will try to give you an idea of what living there was like. More on the way.
Albuquerque We currently live in the largest city in New Mexico. Albuquerque is known for its Spanish and Hispanic culture and its position as a gateway to the natural and man-made wonders of New Mexico. More on the way.
