This is a picture of the tractor I used to own, a fine machine! It is a Nuffield DM4, I reckon about a 1954 model. It is unusual for a Nuffield, because it has a Perkins P4 diesel engine, instead of a BMC diesel. It's a pretty rough machine, and takes some starting, but for my few acres it is adequate. In the photo, taken in December 1996, I am cutting hay in a paddock belonging to Scott and Sarah, some friends of mine. They are neighbours, too, because they live only 8 miles away from me, which is quite close in the country, although my city friends would not call 8 miles close. But that's their problem!
I sold it to buy an International 444, and I don't regret it one bit!
