Empty

Often in my life I come across a woman I become attached to, who has been so hurt by the men in her life that she refuses to trust ANY man. One such person that I know, whom I love very much, as a sister and as a friend, had really hurt me at the point that I wrote this. This was how I bled, how I dealt with the situation without showing anger towards her.

Empty

Gathered, shallow thoughts,
Pain, blankets of misery,
Death, from which you run,
Dying, you cry.

I reach to you, you are blind,
I hold your hand, you do not feel,
Caring, I hold you close,
Do you feel me?

Did he hurt you?
Is there pain?
Why the tears?
Come to me.

I am not him, you see him in me.
I come to care, you see him in me.
You turn me away, you see him in me.
What have I done?

Your heart bleeds, it longs to be healed,
I can mend it, yet still you deny,
I am alone, I want only you,
Can you love again?
