TITLE
This poem was my first try at a style completely foriegn to me. I'm not sure what the format is called, but I had seen an example of it before in the Hebrew text of the Bible (See Psalm 119), and the inspiration for this poem was formed. As you may notice, the first letters of each line are the source of the title, rather than the text itself.
Fear No More, I Will Protect
For the lonely heart, there is no rest,
Each one of them seeks to give his best.
And all around him the world falls dead,
Remembrances fill him of things that he said.
No second chances to make thing right,
Only heaven knows the horrors in his sight.
Men used to ridicule him, and he fought back,
One tried to reach him, but his sight was all black.
Reaching no for the love that was lost,
Ever searching for acceptance despite the cost.
"I should have never let her go," he cries,
"Why did I give in to the their lies?
"If I ever get out of this thing,
"Love will come to me, and peace it will bring,"
Love did come to him, although he didn't know how,
Perhaps because he always looked to the "now."
Remembrances back to his childhood years,
Of wonderful stories that tickled his ears.
The beloved Creator, Who loved all men,
Each one as equals, despite their sin,
Can this Creator forgive him, and hold him close?
The Lord of Creation did, for he loved him the most.
