Freedom

This short little poem is actually an ironic look at my situation. I was a bit depressed at the time, I believe, thus the negative look at how the freedom of losing my past had made me even more alone.

Freedom

A wandering soul no more I roam.
Free from the bondage of guilt I fly.
I wander slowly to the place I love dear,
I ride. No fear, no hate, no care.
The talons of death haunt me no more.
I'm free, free to fill my desire.
No chains bind me to the ground.
Yet alone I fly, alone I roam.
No hand to guide me on this new path,
No heart to hold me safe and warm.
Alone, yet free, yet bound.
