Free Spirit, Free Soul
This is another one of those "first-letter" poems that I love to do. This also was written right after the circumstances described in "Summer Day." I was in a really happy mood then, but my min does seem to constantly edge toward that semi-cynical edge.
Free Spirit, Free Soul,/b>
Forever waiting, wanting, holding
Reading the stories of love unknown.
Ever wishing for that love to know you
Ever waiting for the seed to be sown.
Searching, wanting, pain, desire,
Play evil games with the heart
Inticing, inviting, promising, holding,
Retracting to keep you apart.
In the end, it binds you,
Taking your last shred of hope.
Forever wishing, despite your despair,
Refusing to accept the lies.
Enduring the pain to reach your goal,
Enduring the wrath of life's own despised.
Singular hope, a shred, a line.
Over again it leaves pain behind,
Until that precious fateful day
Love comes, and it's arms you find.
