From the focus of this vortex he peers into the surrounding space and considers himself something apart from that which he surveys.
The iteration of organized and coordinated cognitive bits generate his awareness. Consciousness is a systemic phenomena.
Awareness occurs when reality no longer flickers. It is the persistence and integration of man's residual impressions which stretches the cognitive pulse into a contiguous condition. The system becomes self aware.
Systems are complex oscillations with feedback. The regeneration of complex systems shape the behavior of the system itself. The dynamics of these closed systems animates them.
The frequency of systemic iterations creates its concept of time and space. The faster the camera's shutter speed the slower the events appear. Our GS (glimpse speed) reveals a universe that appears to be static. Light, on the other hand, sees the cosmos in fast motion. If the "big bang" theory is correct, it sees it as a relaxation oscillator with an extremely short period.
The individual is the iteration that creates him. Just as the whirlpool is created from the circular motion of the water, we are oscillating cognitive bits (particles) the focus of which is self aware.
Localized cognition presents special problems. The phenomenon (the entity so created) suffers from the delusion that it has a separate identity. It is then faced with understanding this concept. But, just as the whirlpool, it is a temporary condition of material motion. The vortex generates, maintains, and defines the entity (whirlpool). It is material temporarily fixated in circular movement.
The entity contemplates its surroundings. Seldom understanding it is but the specter of itself out of the loop.
