KENNETH TUCKER'S COMMENTS ON HIS SHORT STORY:

Leon Krull is clearly psychotic, but are the terrifying occurrences all products of his mind? I have long been fascinated by inherently ambiguous horror stories, like some of Poe's and Hoffman's, which offer more than one interpretation, especially those which question whether or not the events portrayed result from psychotic delirium. Readers of this tale are challenged to try to answer this question and to speculate upon the possible meanings of Leon Krull's experiences.
