Well, let us start at the beginning shall we. I was born on June 9th, 1970 at around two a.m. - in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Moncton is a fairly ordinary city, of about 100,000 people, and I ended up having a fairly ordinary childhood in this ordinary city. At 18, I moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia and attended Dalhousie University. Four years later I ended up graduating with a B.A. in History and English. Upon graduation I discovered there was very little one could do with a B.A. After a year of working at several mindless, menial and low paying jobs, I decided to return to school. I discovered, by chance, that teaching was something I enjoyed. The next thing I knew I was enrolled in the education program at the University of Maine, in Orono, ME (USA). A year later I graduated and obtained my certification. Since that time I have been working as a substitute teacher and on a variety of term contracts. I am currently enrolled at I.T.I. in Moncton, where I am working on IT certification.
I drink 3 or 4 cups of coffee a day. I read an incredible amount. I'm an amateur photographer. I'm passably bilingual. I think Gustav Klimt and Paul Klee are amazing artists. I spend as much time in the woods as possible during the summer. I spend too much time in front of a computer screen during the winter. Cajun food is wonderful. I can get lost in the blues. Earle Grey Tea soothes the soul! I'm a member of The Laubach Literacy Council.
