In the times of the society of information, together with the disappearance of animals and vegetables, we also lose important cultural entities, like games and ludic and physical activities, which helped us and our ancestors to understand better the world and ourselves
These pages hope to help in the spreading and cover or protection to all the games and local or autochthonous sports in danger of extinction. This richness of our cultural heritage should be enjoyed by our children, although, unfortunately, it may be only in electronic format. Here, we mean that that distinguishing mark be also an introduction card among different cultures, especially European cultures
They are those physical sportive or playing activities which have:
- Seniority
- more than a hundred years.
- Cultural roots
- reflected in the arts (poetry, sculpture, literature, dance, etc.)
- Singularity
- that its practice have a local or indigenous character. Or either that, even if its geographic area is wide, the number of practising people is inferior to a thousand, or if it is superior to one thousand, its practice is sporadic and tends to decrease (for example, once a year).
They are absent from the mass media because they do not have a great economic weight, due to the fact that they don't generate great commercial profits. They only cause private emotions and meanings.
They are difficult to standardise, maybe because of their marvellous local character sometimes and others because of their fortuitous or anarchic character.
Their space or time of play disappears because it is considered non-productive, for whom?
Their diffusion via Internet, by the creation of web pages with the information of general character of the game that we receive, like its description, history, cultural, technical or tactical aspects of the game, rules etc. Discussion forum about the problems common to them all.
We do not offer any assistance to localwide contents like calendars, competition results, etc.

The information can consist of text, graphics, sounds and animations. Please, include the author of the informative contents' authorisation for their publication in Web, or their seniority in years. And translate it, at least, to another language.
The local language of the game, Spanish and English. We would appreciate them to be sent at least in two languages. The translations are made by volunteers and for some games the translation entails a great semantic difficulty.
The co-ordinator is Antonio Vicent Ciscar. He is a teacher of Physical Education in Fco. Figueras Pacheco High School. This is a project for "Web for School" of the E.E.C. The participants are teachers, students and yourself if you are interested in it
