Brief History

Speechwork Productions was set up in 1988 as a society under the then Nanyang Technological Institute. Later, we became a registered society with the Registry of Society in 1990. We are a non-profit drama group that is dedicated to promote drama in Singapore, especially among students.

Since our club was set up, we have always been striving to achieve our objectives as stated below:
i) To promote awareness of and interest in drama and the arts in NTU.
ii) To provide the students of NTU a means to realize their potentials in the expression of the arts through theatre.
iii) To bridge the gap between staff and students through the club's activities.

In our short history, we had put up many performances, publicly as well as within campus. Our plays range from comedies to experimental theatres and we had done plays by foreign writers, local writers as well as our very own student script-writers.
