Communicators club ranked #4 of all clubs in the state in 1998 and was Select Distinguished! New! Currently, Communicators Club is one of only 2 Presidential Select Distinguished Clubs in District 48 for 2000!

Our meetings are informal and last for approximately 60 minutes. They are held in Building 5304 of the Redstone Arsenal Sparkman Center on every Thursdays at 11:30. These meetings are scheduled during the lunch hour, therefore attendeees are welcome to bring their lunches to the meetings.

A typical meeting includes several impromptu speeches and two or three prepared speeches. Each prepared speech is also evaluated by another member, whose goal is constructive praise and criticism. The meetings are designed to enhance listening skills as well as the ability to think on your feet. If you are required to make formal presentations as part of your job, or if you just want to be a better communicator, Toastmasters is for you.

Do your knees shake and your palms sweat when you have to give a presentation? Would you like to stop that? Then Toastmasters is the place for you. With the various prepared speeches, impromptu speaking and other jobs, you'll learn what to do to improve your speeches and gain enormous confidence in your ability to give a good presentation.

The cost is very reasonable. National and Club Dues of $21.00 are paid twice a year. There is an additional $16.00 charge the first year for your materials. Many companies will pay for the dues, at least during the first year. Where else can you get 52 hours of training for only $58? This makes Toastmasters the best deal in town.
