August 13, 6:40 p.m. -- "Bye Hawai`i... see ya in December."
Stacey Hayashi... what can I say about her now, except that I hope she picks up the babbling again as soon as she's settled in California. In the year she's been writing in her online diary, she's been insanely happy, a grumpy monkey, and a million colors in between. The thoughts of this Mililani High graduate are sometimes hard to follow, but she grows on you.

Coffee Shakes
Sage Lunsford takes the online diary concept and turns it into a full dramatic production. She does an advice column and provides a mailing list for those who want to follow her life from home. Her pages feature sound files, a collection of her writings and feline updates. She's also found her soulmate, Todd, and wrote about it -- mush city!

Magdalena Donea is a top-notch web designer, and her own site is stunning -- sharp, seamless and amazingly tactile. Unfortunately, she doesn't write in her diary very often, but her other writings are more than worth a sit-down read. I drool over her CD rack, marvel at her bookshelf, and vow to check out the few movies in her list of faves that I haven't yet seen.

The Laraverse
Larissa, in her pages, demonstrates a functional and basic web design that I admire. Scandalously simple -- not a background to be found. Yet, her diary entries are no less engaging, no matter how quiet a day it might have been at "the pond." She keeps a dream journal that I keep coming back to. She writes often, her brass-tacks style insightful and thoughful. (And she joined Open Pages!)

Cat-lover Willa G. Cline evolved from having a clunky account on America OnLine to maintaining her own site. You gotta respect her for that. In addition to her frequently-updated journal, she writes monthly musings and keeps a dream journal. Since I have no time to read, I also enjoy good books vicariously through her reviews. (And she joined Open Pages!)
