A Child's Halloween

By: Jean Elaine Fuller
Date: October 1966
Especially for: My children

The witches and the goblins
Will all be out tonight.
You have no need to worry tho'.
Control your scare and fright!

The witch is just a little girl,
Like you, from down the street.
The ghost is just a neighbor boy,
Dressed in his mama's sheet.

The black cats and the goblins,
And all the things that boo,
Aren't really what they seem to be,
'Cause they are frightened too.

So never worry at Halloween,
I've just explained to you
That this is the night of having fun,
But you better Trick-or-Treat by twos.
