Lamb's Book of Life

By: Jean Elaine Fuller
Date: Approximately 1972

He walked the earth, and had not of His own,
His treasures were laid near His fathers throne.
He prayed and He waited for the moment to come,
When His father would call Him to His new Home.

REFRAIN:
He was born of a woman just like you and I,
He loved us so dearly, that He had to die.
He was tempted to wait, Oh, yes, even then,
But He died to redeem us and to cover our sins.

He rose from the grave to show us the way,
He conquered death on that glorious day.
Now in Heaven He's waiting by His dear Father's side
To claim the great Glory for the day when He died.

Now Jesus will come like a thief in the night.
Is your house all in order, Is everything right?
His time is approaching to end trouble and strife,
But, He's waiting to record YOU in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE.
