Who kindly helped us to survive,
Who held our hands and checked our heads,
Who's told us things from A to Z
Date: 1966
Especially for: My mother
The trying years, from one to five?
Who saw that we got off to school,
To learn that "good old Golden Rule"?
To see if we should be in our beds?
Who was by our side both day and night
And tried to teach us wrong from right?
Without her help where would we be?
She's swell and nice, but to be frank,
We have only her to thank, OUR MOTHER.
More of mom's poems.
