Why do I write?

I love to write! Writing has great potential. You can pass your thoughts to your descendants, to people who share your interests and to others. Writing is important because you can record thoughts, feelings and experiences. If a note is a message you make to yourself for future reference, then well expressed thoughts are even better. They provide stimuli for additional thought and reflection. Someone once said, "If you think it, ink it." Without records of our thoughts, they may be lost (and this is exponentially true with age!).

Writing is therapeutic for me. Through it, I reflect on my experiences and synthesize understandings of them. The process of writing helps me to think clearly. It forces me to form a conclusion. When I consider important issues I don't usually know what my conclusions are until I write them down. Writing allows me to use my strengths of analysis, observation, integration and organization to express myself well. I write for me. Of course, it's nice when it benefits others too. I invite you to read what I have published here and dialog with me.

What do I write?

Glad you asked. I write about everything. I like to write about life, my experiences and observations, and to explore the humorous and inconsistent perspectives of peoples' words and actions. I also enjoy technical and educational writing. I've written all kinds of documents. Hey, I even write an impressive resume!
