At any one time there are between 40 and 50 members of Vikings! of Middle England. We are split into four units and a command group. An interesting point to make is that in the period we represent, 36 men was considered an army. Therefore, we are quite able to field an entire dark age army!

If you visit one of our shows watch out for:

• Dagfinn - That's me! You'll see me in the scriptorium scribbling away under the watchful eye of:
• Abbess Hild - She's the "mother superior" of our Chapel, but she's not the only member of the Chapel:
• Brother Gerard - Often seen blessing the troops before battle and sometimes even seen wielding a mace himself
• Half-Dan Badgerbeard - The name says it all!
• Bjarni (Earthshaker) - When he stamps his feet you'll really feel the earth move!
• Morgana - One of our highly skilled female warriors, cheer her on in the arena!
• And last but by no means least:

  Ormagunda Wulfhar - Our battle commander and very loud shouter!

We have nearly 50 members, not just those above, why not come along and cheer your favourite during our exciting combat displays.
