What follows is just so that you can see if you got the right people if you were looking for us.

Steve Hayes was born in Durban, lived in Westville up to 1948, then moved to Sunningdale, just outside Johannesburg, and lived on a smallholding there fore the next few years. Schools: Mountain Lodge Prep School and St Stithians, Randburg. Went to Natal University, Pietermaritzburg (UNP) 1963-1965, St Chad's College, Durham (1966-1968), was at Missions to Seamen, Durban, and later with Anglican Diocese of Damaraland in Windhoek Namibia, St Martin's Church Durban North, Utrecht and Melmoth in Anglican Diocese of Zululand.

Val Hayes was Valerie Greene, of Escombe, Queensburgh, Natal. Went to Escombe Primary School and Pinetown Convent. Worked for Clover, Natal Motor Industries and Stafford Meyer. Later at St Mary's DSG, Pretoria, Galvadip, Wormald/Rasco, Echo Prestress Concrete and currently at Sentry Security.

Bridget (Julia) born at Utrecht, Natal, went to St Mary's DSG Pretoria, Rietondale Primary, Clapham High School, Queenswood, studied photograph at Pretoria Technikon and now at University of Athens in Greece.

Simon born Eshowe, Zululand. Went to Waterkloof House Prep School, Pretoria (WHPS), Rietondale Primary, Clapham High, studying art at Pretoria Technikon.

Jethro born Eshowe, went to Rietondale Primary, Pretoria Technical High School.
