Railroad Depot 1960
Emerson Cottage was located at 204 S. Kentucky Street in
McKinney, Texas at the turn of the century.
Standing at the front is the proprietor, Johnnie Bagley Waters next to her husband, James
A. Waters. Mr. Waters owned and operated a shoe store on the square in McKinney. Their
children, next to them dressed in white, are Billy Waters, Jim Alice Waters, Pearl Waters,
and Evelyn Waters. Pearl Waters later married Addison G. Wilson. Pearl and Add's youngest
child was named after Pearl's sister, Evelyn. Evelyn Wilson Cole is my mother. We think
that the elderly gentleman sitting on the porch just to the right of Evelyn Waters is
William Marshall Bagley, the father of Mrs. Waters. Kenneth Cole, webmaster
