This game was created by me to celebrate James Carse's book, Finite and Infinite Games. It simulates an infinite game (as best it can) in its shifting boundaries, changing rules, room for boundless creativity, and unexpectedness.

Here is the layout: you need a board. I pasted two large poster boards together and drew on square a la checkers (except much much wider and taller) for a playing field for 9. You can adjust as you see fit. It needs to fit as many chess sets as you can manage. There should be quadrants, indicated by different color checks.

Now you need chess sets. I recommend being creative and using the occasional foodstuffs in lieu of the regular wooden pieces. The object is to play, not to look good.

Find a box, and fill it with goodies like extra pieces, string, markers, figurines, and anything else your heart requires.

Now you need index cards for the rules... Here are the rules I (with the indispensable help of Chris) created:

note: at the bottom of the list is a place you can submit new rules!
