Some Personal Info. about yours truly Tape Library Director.
This is pretty much a 2 person operation; the Lord and myself !
I am an electrical engineer with Medtronic, a medical company
based here in Minneapolis which manufactures pacemakers,
implantable cardioverter/defibrillators, pacing
leads and all sorts of other wonderful
medical products.
I was a rowdy teenager and troublemaker until finally someone
helped me to see what the Bible had to say about Life and Truth
and Eternity and God's amazing Love for us and how we should all
be living (and that if the
Bible and the words of Jesus are true, sinners go to hell and I
was one and there is only One Way of escape !) so I became a
Christian at 19 years old. The Lord rescued me from
smoking up to two packs of cigarettes a day, basically constant
drinking, drugs and other dumb stuff I now wish to God I'd never
done. God has healed me in many areas, but I've never quite
recovered the confidence or speaking ability required for an
effective pastoral, evangelical, teaching or preaching ministry.
So I guess I've got the gift of helps, helping get out the messages
of those who do have those gifts, and it's a blessing to still
be able to participate by sending forth these powerful, anointed messages on these tapes !
My (ex)wife and I were caretakers for some time and ran a Christian coffehouse
while for years I had an adult motor delivery route delivering
the Minneapolis Star (evening) and Tribune (morning and weekend)
newspapers. While doing so much driving, I would listen to tapes
from the Springs of Living Water Tape library.
They were a great blessing !
I have had a few years experience working in radio (many of the
record albums we now carry in the library were sent to me free),
some of this was while going to school at the University of
Minnesota, at KUOM (where incidentally I was told that Garrison
Keillor had previously had the same job as a radio engineer),
then before coming to Medtronic, worked in
the Defense area with Honeywell/Alliant Techsystems, and was laid
off after 4 years there due to "downsizing".
I have had quite a variety of other experiences including playing
bass guitar/keyboards with the "New Jerusalem Citizen's Band"
and the "Servers" with whom we toured some of the US
(midwest and eastern states and Los Angeles olympics)
and Europe (Germany and Holland). I was very involved in
the conception and production of the T.Day cassette tract album
"New Religion", and would like to be able to do more with music.
I am recently divorced (her doing not mine, but I am glad to be free from a bad situation). I have kids too and actually think in this special case it's better this way for them too - if curious, see
article in New Man magazine March/April 1999 issue for a clue... )
