CHARLIE COMPANY FAMILY READINESS GROUP INFORMATION |
DoD Mission To foster a readiness environment that informs and empowers Guard and Reserve families to function effectively within their communities during any contingency or hardship. Missouri Family Programs Mission To establish and facilitate ongoing communications, involvement, support and recognition between families and the National Guard in a partnership that promotes the best in both. Company C Mission Promote the values listed above. To accomplish this, we will provide the following services to the unit: • Provide mobilization briefings to Guard members and their families. A Guard member that is prepared for deployment is better able to concentrate on their job by not worrying about his/her family’s well-being. • Providing a functioning Family Readiness Group (FRG). A FRG is more than a social unit. It is a valuable resource for RECRUITMENT and RETENTION of Guard members. A FRG can promote the unit in the community in a positive manner. Quality of life issues encourage the Guard families to be supportive of soldiers and their mission. •Training FRG volunteers and military liaisons. Training is available at the state level or, if enough volunteers desire, local training sessions can be established. •Awards and recognition programs for Family Support volunteers. Assist in the implementation and/or development of a method to recognize the individuals who work with the unit that are not military members. •Assist the unit in REMODE, MODRE, Beltlines, and meeting ORE requirements. |
