Why don't you take some time to visit the Sukumar Ray pages just down the road. Go on click here.
Now a few words on India. It's kind of difficult to talk about India in a minute. It would depend on what you like. Nature? History? Adventure ? Also, there's a choice between the East, the West, the North and the South. And the season is also not to be ignored. Alexander Frater has written a book called "Chasing the Monsoon". History could start from about 2500 BC. But that would mean a lot of interesting ruins. Nature? You have the Mountains, Beaches, Deserts and the Forests. The Customs, Traditions and Religions range from tribal to regional. We have over twenty official languages and a host of dialects. So there's almost a continent of Literature and Folk Lore.
You will find a host of pages on the net. I plan to add to the din. But for the time being I've only managed to put together a page on the teracotta temples of Vishnupur, Bengal. I can brag of it appearing as a link in the Lonely Planet website.
