an open window
taking in the majesty of nature
The scent of the rain
so brisk and pure
the roar of the thunder
reverberating in the valley
the brilliant flash of lightning
illuminating the darkened sky
Experiencing the energy of the storm
taking me to a higher plane
an enlightened state
feeling at peace
the storm raging on in its beauty
A momentary vision
nature's majesty
an eagle
flying toward me
regal and magnificent
trying to reach me
Sending a message
on eagle's wings
from one afar
reaching me
touching me
comforting me
feeling at peace once again
the eagle's mission complete
disappearing in a flash of lightning
gone...
But the peace remains
hidden in my heart
for another rainy day
