More poems about Homes

COMING HOME
There is something special about coming
back home,
Whether for a short distance or quite far
did roam.
Old familiar sights and scenes you look for
along the way,
Smile and nod in recognition at first this
and that,
Knowing you are getting closer to your own
‘Welcome Mat’
We care not if it is large or small it is home
that matters,
Whether pretty as a picture or the area it does
not either flatter
The landscape or not fit the scene around
at all,
It is home and there is a great feeling behind every
solid wall.
