PERFECT PICTURE
Peeking through the dense forest as we drove by,
Something rather wonderful caught my eye,
A mother deer with two fawns, bespeckled still,
Standing gazing at me giving me quite a thrill.
Statue-like they seemed, just picture perfect,
One no photo contest judge would ever reject,
But my camera was at home not in the car,
To have another scene again wed have to go far.
Its always in my purse that camera of mine,
But I had a purse tidy out and it was about time,
The camera was not put back, the day wasnt bright,
And so I missed a chance for a picture full of delight.
