OUR NEIGHBOURS GARDEN
Our neighbours garden is a thing of great beauty,
At the front pretty hedges trimmed in perfect symmetry
And pretty flowers heads raised up to the sky above,
You can tell its well cared for with people full of love.
The back there is a garden plot with many a neat row,
Where many different vegetables for food do grow,
Trimmed, weeded and cared for in sunshine and in rain,
They must have green thumbs this great garden to gain.
Quite early in the morning before the sun gets too hot,
You can see him digging over some difficult little spot,
You can see the produce grow fast before unbelieving eyes,
And you know that they will reap a wonderful, good prize.
Thank you Elio and Piera for your garden so truly fair
And all the time and effort, every moment you have to spare
To make your little patch of earth like Eden here below,
And I hope you continue to reap well that which you sow.
