ONE TEMPLE SLIPPER ON HOLIDAY
There is one Preston temple slipper that has been all
over the place,
Flown high in air planes and driven around in a
big heavy case,
It travelled along the Mormon Trail, but what it liked
the very best
Was that it was worn in many a temple, places
of peace and rest.
The Preston temple slipper served from the
baptistry to sealing,
Serving with great joy and many great new sights
often seeing,
Now this good little slipper will soon be flying
homeward bound
And will look forward to when its partner
will be found.
Back to the Preston temple this slipper soon,
well worn return,
And maybe within those temple walls a reputation
it will earn,
Having travelled far and wide and in many other
temples trod,
Yet each one maybe very different it knew is a
house of God.
