CHANGE IN THE WEATHER
Yesterday thunder and lightening constantly filled the heavy air,
Rain came down in torrents making small floods almost everywhere,
The wind whipped and raged ripping off branches and tore up trees,
Homes shook on there foundations and for hours there was no ease.

The night was much cooler and a sweet calm came to stay
And this morning the air was clean and fresh another day
When the sun shines bright in a vivid blue cloudless sky,
So different than yesterday as through stormy clouds rolled by.

A complete change in the weather, a total, marvellous turn around
For today better weather, I deem, anywhere could not be found,
Nature is forgiving, birds still sing, heads raise on the battered flowers,
Not minding that yesterday they suffered in pain for many long hours.

Some creatures, plants and trees may not have survived the storm,
Many of them received great damage, death and much harm,
But all the survivors and those badly maimed look to the sun
For a new day of love and hope has for us all once again begun.
