HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
Today is my birthday and I promised my
daughter dear
That I would write a poem for myself and bring
me good cheer.
The day promises to be fair with sweet sunshine
all around,
And I am close to my eternal companion what more joy
could be found,
Although we are away from home on this my
special day,
I know many happy moment will still come along
my way,
As the years creep ever onward and the days roll
quickly by,
As long as I have family and friend to love I will
never want to cry
But sing songs of joy and happiness as each birthday
comes my way,
So whatever happens through my life I’ll always have a
good birthday
For we are all bound together in God’s never ending,
eternal love
And we can still sing Happy Birthday on our heavenly
home above.
