Kempsey School Photo 1904

This is a photo of the staff and pupils of Kempsey school in 1904. The Headmaster is Charles Jervis, who taught there from 1875 to 1915. He was also the choirmaster, and made sure that boys from the school were in the choir. The school used to close for 5 weeks in September for hop picking.
