Two sisters (Lee-15 and Allison-12) and a brother (Joel-7) have to deal with their parents divorce while living in both New York and Long Beach.
The story centers around Lee, who goes to live in Long Beach with her dad for the summer. Lee has her closest friends who live in Long Beach and they know all about divorce. Lee and her friends have summer jobs at a day camp. Lee has a bad relationship with her mother, who has just recently moved to New York.
Through out the summer, several events take place to liven up the story.
What's Best For You tells a good story about 3 children trapped in divorce. I find it hard to believe though, the relationship Lee has with her mom. Judie Angell could have made that a little more believable.
I recommend you read What's Best For You especially if you have to deal with divorce and the twist and turns in life.
