Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is tied with The Goblet of Fire for my favorite Harry Potter book.
I really like The Prisoner of Azkaban because the adventures are exciting, I liked the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher (Professor Lupin), and it seems like there is hope that Harry may have some happiness in his life.
The Prisoner of Azkaban starts with Harry's third year at Hogwarts. The major crisis in this book is that Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban (aka the non-escapable wizard's prison). Black is the man that gave away the location of Harry's parents to Voldemort, so this news it extra dangerous to Harry.
I am sure Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban will be one of your favorite books, too. Enjoy!
