Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a great book! It's for people of all ages.
The story is about an 11-year old boy who finds out that he is a wizard after 10 years of living with his awful aunt, uncle, and cousin. Then Harry is off to Hogwarts, a school where witches and wizards learn about magic.
Harry is not like a normal wizard, though, he is special. Harry have to deal with the fact that he is famous for something he hardly remembers and find out why no one is permitted behind a closed corridor in the castle of Hogwarts.
Harry quickly makes friends with Ron, a boy from an old wizarding family. There's also Professor Dumbledore, the wise headmaster of Hogwarts, Professor Snape, the teacher that hates Harry as much as Harry hates him, Hagrid, the giant, loveable groundskeeper that befriends Harry, and Hermione, a girl that annoys Harry and Ron at first, but then...well, you'll see. There's also Draco Malfoy, a boy Harry and Ron's age that is their enemy.
Harry's first year at Hogwarts is an exciting adventure and at the end, you can't wait for Harry's second year to start. Rowling is a natural writer that makes you keep turning page after page. This book is absolutely wonderful!
Make sure to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone before you see the movie coming out November 16, 2001!!!
